Refund Policy

REKOD offers a permanent free tier and a 30-day full Premium trial so you can evaluate the Service before spending any money. This page explains your rights if you have made a payment.

Every new account gets 30 days of full Premium — free, no card required. By the time you're billed, you've had a full month to decide.

Every REKOD account has access to a permanent free tier at no cost. No payment is ever required to use the free tier. There is nothing to refund.

Every new account receives a 30-day free trial of the full Premium plan. No payment information is required during the trial period.

Because no money is charged during the trial, no refund applies. If you decide REKOD is not right for you during the trial, simply do not subscribe. Your account automatically returns to the free tier on day 30 and all your data remains intact.

Monthly subscriptions (Pro or Premium — see current pricing) are billed at the start of each 30-day billing cycle.

• Monthly fees are non-refundable once the billing date has passed.

• If you cancel your monthly subscription, you retain full access until the end of the current billing cycle. We do not offer pro-rated refunds for unused days.

• After the cycle ends, your account returns to the permanent free tier. All your data remains intact.

Why this policy: Every new account receives a full 30-day Premium trial before any charge is made. By the time you are billed for the first time, you have had a full month to evaluate the Service.

Annual subscriptions (Pro or Premium — see current pricing) are billed once per year at a discounted rate.

You may request a pro-rated refund within 14 days of your annual billing date. The refund amount is your annual fee minus the equivalent monthly rate for any months already used.

Example: If you request a refund one month into an annual plan, we deduct one month at the standard monthly rate from your annual fee and refund the balance.

After 14 days from the annual billing date, annual fees are non-refundable.

We review refund requests outside the standard policy on a case-by-case basis in the following situations:

Duplicate charge: If you were billed twice for the same period due to a technical error, we will refund the duplicate charge in full.

Extended service outage: If REKOD experienced a verified outage of more than 72 consecutive hours that prevented you from using the Service, you may request a credit or pro-rated refund for the affected period.

Unauthorised charge: If you believe a payment was made without your authorisation, contact us immediately. We will investigate and refund any confirmed unauthorised charge.

Exceptional refund requests must be submitted within 30 days of the charge in question.

Affiliate commissions that have already been approved and transferred to your nominated bank account are non-refundable.

Commissions that are pending payment and are tied to a subscription that results in a refund will be cancelled and will not be paid.

Referral credits — free subscription months earned by referring other traders — have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for money. They apply only as a discount against future subscription billing cycles on your own account.

Referral credits are non-transferable and are forfeited upon account closure.

The following are not eligible for refunds under any circumstances:

• Monthly subscription fees (beyond the exceptions in Section 05).

• Annual subscription fees requested after the 14-day window.

• Affiliate commissions already paid to a bank account.

• Subscription fees where the account was suspended or terminated due to a breach of our Terms of Service.

1. Email support@rekod.ng with the subject: "Refund Request — [Your Shop Name]"

2. Include your registered email or phone number, the charge date, the amount, and the reason for your request.

3. We will acknowledge your request within 2 business days.

4. We will respond with a decision within 5 business days.

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method via Paystack. Depending on your bank, funds typically arrive within 3–10 business days after approval.

We encourage you to contact us before initiating a chargeback through your bank. Most issues are resolved faster through direct communication.

Filing a chargeback without contacting us may result in account suspension pending investigation. Fraudulent chargebacks may be reported to appropriate authorities.
